During its initial pilot round of grant making, the Detroit Resident First Fund awarded $700,000 in funding to 15 local organizations.

As part of our response to COVID-19, the fund also supported 76 grassroot leaders in Detroit, Highland Park and Hamtramck who went above and beyond to serve the needs of their fellow residents during this pandemic.  Local leaders were nominated by city officials, community members, or block clubs, etc.  and selected to receive self-care awards to support their mental, emotional, physical or spiritual health.
