After listening to your feedback, we are excited to announce that we will continue offering free workshops to Detroit-based community leaders on topics ranging from fundraising to board development. As part of the Detroit Residents First Fund commitment to building resident power, we are honored to continue providing tailored support to Detroit’s resident leaders.
To kick off our Fall learning series this month, we will be hosting two workshops. The first will focus on staffing a successful nonprofit and will cover volunteer recruiting, managing paid staff, and board development. We’ll also offer live nonprofit HR compliance Q&A.
Then on the 26th we will be joined by Kia Croom, professional fundraiser and founder of the Croom Institute for Fund Development and Social Change and Fundraising in Black who will share tips and techniques on creating grant applications.
